On Monday, Nov. 16, from 4 to 5 p.m., at the Mattapoisett Council on Aging there will be a comprehensive insurance presentation by regional representatives from S.H.I.N.E. (Serving Health Information Needs of Elders).

It is highly recommended that anyone 65 or older (or who will be) attend this session. S.H.I.N.E. counselors can review insurance plans, let seniors know if their current plan will increase in cost this year and help them select the most cost-effective option. Call the Mattapoisett COA at 508-758-4110 to reserve a spot at this session.

Those who cannot make the Nov. 16 session, may call the COA and ask for a trained S.H.I.N.E. Counselor to call them and assist with any of the following:

Change from original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan and vice versa, switch between different Medicare Advantage Plans, choose a plan with drug coverage, join a prescription drug plan or switch to a new one or drop it completely.
