Memoir writing workshop Aug. 23

Get help writing memories and family stories at the Mattapoisett Library. Writer and poet Verandah Porche will facilitate a free memoir writing workshop in collaboration with the Council on Aging on Friday, Aug. 23, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The workshop includes writing suggestions to begin the process, helpful tips, and more. Lunch is included, and the program concludes at 2:30 p.m.

Verandah Porche works as a poet-in-residence, performer, and writing partner. She has published two books "Suddenly Eden" and "Glancing Off" and has worked on collaborative writing projects in non-traditional settings. Her work has been featured on NPR and the John Simon Guggenheim Museum.
