Mattapoisett Town Meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 12, and Town Moderator Jack Eklund is asking residents to help keep it to one night.

Anyone who wants to show a slideshow or who plans to make an amendment to an article is asked to call Town Clerk Barbara Sullivan who will then contact Eklund and the town counsel.

Eklund said town counsel can review amendments and make sure the language is legal. Having the language correct before the meeting will help save time, said Eklund.

He also said, “We want to make sure we give everyone an opportunity to be heard as appropriate.”

Town Meeting will be held at the Old Rochester Regional High School auditorium. Additional dates on May 13 and 14 are scheduled, if needed.

The Town Warrant is available on the Mattapoisett website and at Town Hall.
