Moon landing history and a lunar future

ROCHESTER — On Wednesday Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. Pat Monteith, NASA solar system ambassador and author will offer a trip back in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing. Monteith’s presentation will highlight the moon and review the Apollo lunar landing.
Find out how NASA plans to return to the moon and build habitats to survive there, and then use it as a launch site for Mars. Participants will enjoy a presentation on the moon and then take part in different hands-on activities. Ages eight and up and families are welcome. Registration is required.
