Music Hall shutters will improve acoustics

Mar 8, 2017

On Tuesday, the Music Hall Advisory Committee got approval from Selectmen to spend $11,391 to install eight window treatments in the main room that will improve acoustics and help control lighting.

The funds come from the Music Hall’s endowment.

Margot Stone, accompanied by Lynn Crocker, told Selectmen that they want to put wooden shutters on the windows that are as classic as the building itself.

Plus, said Crocker, “They literally will last for the rest of our lives.”
