Music from Land's End festival comes to South Coast this weekend
Violinist Ariadne Daskalakis and pianist Miri Yampolsky will be bringing Beethoven to town on Saturday. (Read more here)
Daskalakis, the creator of the Music from Land’s End Wareham festival series, and Yampolsky will play Ludwig van Beethoven: The 10 Sonatas for Violin and Piano.
Daskalakis and Yampolsky have collaborated together since 1998. They gave their debut recital together at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston and have performed across the globe as soloists and as a duo.
Since their early collaboration, Daskalakis and Yampolsky have been preparing the monumental project of performing the cycle of all 10 Beethoven Sonatas.
The concerts will take place on the following dates and times:
• Saturday, March 7, 5 p.m. St. Gabriel’s Church, 124 Front St., Marion. Admission by donation at door. Sonatas 1, 2, 6, 3.
• Sunday, March 8, 3 p.m. Church of the Good Shepherd, 74 High St., Wareham. Admission by donation at door. Sonatas 7, 4, 9.
