MATTAPOISETT — A new covid case was reported by the Old Rochester Regional School District on Dec. 19, the 59th since schools reopened on Sept. 16.

The case is affiliated with The Old Rochester Regional School District High School building, but it’s unclear whether the positive person is a student, faculty or staff member. 

Contact tracing for the case is being conducted. Close contacts will be notified by their respective Boards of Health, and are expected to quarantine. 

All schools will continue operations as normal on Dec. 21.
