Industrial Tower and Wireless, a company hoping to build a new wireless cell phone tower at the end of Jane Lane in Mattapoisett, will conduct its second balloon test on September 14 and 15.

The company will float a balloon at the 145 feet, the same height as the proposed tower.

The second test comes at the request of the Planning Board who said the first test, conducted on Friday, May 11 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., was scheduled when few people would see it.

“As far as I’m concerned this balloon test was wholly insufficient,” said Planning Board member John Mathieu at its last meeting with the company. “I haven’t talked to anybody who saw the balloon.”

The board requested that the new test cover two full days on a Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday.

The company will conduct the test from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
