MARION — The parking lot at Hoff Property and connecting trail to White Eagle were officially opened Sunday, Dec. 1, the Sippican Lands Trust announced.

Marion Select Board member Randy Parker, who “was instrumental in securing the land required for the project” by working with Sippican Lands Trust, Buzzards Bay Coalition and Marion Open Space Acquisition Committee, cut the ceremonial ribbon, a news release said.

After a morning hike, Parker, Sippican Lands Trust President Cathy Stone, former president Alan Harris and Marion Open Space Acquisition Committee Chair John Rockwell gave speeches to hikers and board members.
