October events abound at Mattapoisett Free Public Library

MATTAPOISETT — In October and into November, the Mattapoisett Free Public Library will have multiples events for families and children to participate in.

October story walk: Take a walk around the library and enjoy a humorous look at the electoral process with “Vote for Me” by Ben Clanton.

Curbside crafts: Pick up a yarn turtle craft kit from Oct. 1 to 15, and a yarn-wrapped mummy kit from Oct. 15 to 31. Online registration required for craft kits. The library will contact patrons for a pick up time after registration.

Virtual story time with Miss Chris on Wednesdays from Oct. 7 to Nov. 18 at 10:30 a.m. Pre-registration is required.

Learn about aerodynamics via Zoom with Mad Science on Oct. 8 at 3:30 p.m.

Starting Oct. 17 while supplies last, register online for a Halloween craft and treat bag. Bag pick-up is on Halloween 10 a.m. to noon. Wear a costume to enter a raffle to win a prize.

Learn about animals using the popular video game Animal Crossing with Mastermind Adventures on Oct. 24 at 1 p.m.

Learn about sound via Zoom with Mad Science on Nov. 12 at 3:30 p.m.

Pre-registration is required for all events in order to send each participant a ZOOM meeting code.
