ROCHESTER — Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School can access some but not all of the data in its network after a cybersecurity incident on Feb. 10. The school is still working to get access to the other part of its data.

“At this time there is no evidence to indicate that any student or employee information has been accessed or viewed as the result of this incident,” school administrators wrote in a statement.

When the school learned of the data security incident, it took steps to secure its network and started an internal investigation with a cybersecurity consultant and computer forensics team.

The incident was also reported to the Massachusetts State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The school is cooperating with all law enforcement agencies on the investigation.

As part of the response, the school will also look to strengthen its network security, to prevent any future incidents.
