Marion’s list of colorful characters was longer than usual on Sunday, June 27 after Old Rochester’s rising juniors held a 3k color run at Washburn Park in Marion to raise money for the class of 2023.
Participants walked and ran through the Washburn woods, where colored powder was thrown on them throughout the race.
2023 Class President Gabby Berg said that it has been hard fundraising this year because of covid so this was their first event in about 8 months.
“It was fun to get out and get colorful,” she said, adding that she hopes to make it an annual event.
“We may even try to do it again in August,” she said.
