MATTAPOISETT — Old Rochester Regional High School athletes had a big week last week as both lacrosse teams advanced in their tournaments and several track athletes advanced to All State.

Boys lacrosse won decisively in a 20-3 rout of Apponequet on June 21, moving them on to the semifinal on Thursday, June 24 where they will play the winner of Sandwich vs. Scituate who play on June 22.

Girls lacrosse beat Marshfield 11-6 to advance to the quarterfinal on June 23 where they will play Scituate at 4 p.m. at home.

Girls track athletes who are advancing to All State from last week’s divisional meet include: Julia Sheridan, who came in 3rd in the 400m with a time of 59.35; Jennifer Williams, who came in 3rd in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.05; Maggie Brogioli, who came in 4th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.56; and the 4x400 relay team, which came in 3rd with a time of 4:09.98, but failed to beat the school record of 4:06.

Boys track athletes advancing include: David Reynolds, who came in 1st in the discus with a distance of 46.40m and 2nd in shot put with a distance of 15.54m; Colby Gross, who won the 400m with a time of 49.89; and the 4x400 relay team, which came in 2nd with a time of 3:34.68.

The boys tennis and baseball teams both ended their seasons on Monday, June 21.

The tennis team lost 5-0 to 2-seed Dover Sherborn in the quarterfinal.

The baseball team lost 19-0 to 3-seed Medfield in the first round.
