MATTAPOISETT — The Old Rochester Regional Chorus, Concert Band and a capella group performed a mix of holiday and non-holiday songs on Dec. 17, while the Jazz Band stuck to non-holiday tunes.
Michael Barnicle directed the band and chorus. Jazz band soloists included Joe Sheridan, Mackenzie Riley, Mason Tucker, Tova Brickley, Patrick Igoe, Riley Bouley and Dante Cusolito and Sierra.
New this year was a lap steel guitar, which students saw last year on a trip to Nashville, Tennessee and wanted to incorporate into the band’s music.
Friends of Old Rochester Music, which supports the school music program, also had a booth at the concert to sell refreshments, t-shirts and ornaments, and to raise awareness about the group.
