MATTAPOISETT — Old Rochester Regional High School senior Elizabeth Houdelette received the Sippican Lands Trust Helen A. Arthur Scholarship.

The lands trust seeks scholarship applicants with an interest in environmental studies, conservation or a related field, in addition to being a Marion resident and a high school senior or early college student.

Houdelette “stood out as an exceptional applicant,” as she demonstrated her intellect and leadership skills in student government, the girls tennis team and the field hockey team. She also volunteers at Damien’s Pantry in Wareham, spends her time coaching youth field hockey and serves as a peer tutor. 

As she graduates from Old Rochester, Houdelette aspires to become a physician’s assistant.
