Dear Marion Zoning Board of Appeals,

Tonight you are faced with the Briggs Residence E development on Spring Street. You are asked to give a variance on the setback distance to the lot line.

This was voted down at our last Town Meeting by the town voting body.

Variances cannot be issued in violation of the intent of the bylaws. Not only is this a violation of Marion’s bylaws, it is also a request to violate the will of Town Meeting.

The voters understood the issues and voted it down. Who are you to overrule them?

Show respect for Town Meeting and do not issue a variance.
