To the editor:

We are fortunate to have Representative Bill Straus advocating for marine trades workers and businesses in the Massachusetts legislature. 

He has been the co-chair of the statewide non-partisan Boating Caucus for many years and really understands what we face, from worker shortages to overlapping regulatory challenges.

Thanks to his leadership, the House budgets annually for financial support for workers and students to train in the marine trades.  I can’t thank him enough, but here’s a start. Thank you, Bill Straus.
