Two Old Rochester musical groups and student Mason Tucker received praise for their performances on a a recent trip to Nashville, Tennessee.
The ORRHS Concert Band and Chorus performed at The Nashville School of the Arts for the Festivals of Music while at the Gaylord Opryland Resort from April 5 to 8.
The groups attended the Musicians Hall of Fame for the Festivals of Music Awards Ceremony where Tucker won the festival Outstanding Accompanist 2019 award. Both the ORRHS Concert Band and Chorus also received excellent ratings for their performances.
Tucker played trumpet with the Concert Band, and played the piano as the accompanist for the Chorus and the piano Jazz piece, “Moonglow”.
