ORR science teacher gets approval for food truck
Old Rochester Regional Junior High science teacher Kathy Gauvin is joining the food truck revolution. On Thursday, Selectmen approved her application for a common victualler’s license to sell food from her food truck.
“I was not as familiar with the food truck frenzy until I started putting it together,” said Gauvin.
She hopes to do catering for private events as well as sell food at local events. An application is also being processed with the Board of Health. The food truck will have a fully functioning kitchen.
“It’s a pretty cool truck,” she said.
Gauvin said for those foods she cannot prepare on the truck, she will use How on Earth’s commercial kitchen.
Selectmen Chair Jordan Collyer gave his approval of the project.
“I’m excited for you,” he said. “It’s great to see more small businesses in town.”
