MATTAPOISETT — Under the shadow of Salty the Seahorse, there will be a soiree held in his name on Saturday, Oct. 19, hosted by the Mattapoisett Land Trust.

The gathering will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Dunseith Park.

Storytelling, live music and a bonfire headline the event.

The Mattapoisett Land Trust asks guests to park in Mattapoisett Village and walk to the park as there will be no parking available on site.

The event is suited for all ages.

The rain date for the event is Sunday, Oct. 20.
