MATTAPOISETT — Shipyard Park was full of classic cars and hotrods on Friday, July 21 for Cruise Night.
While classic 1950s tunes sounded from speakers set up in the park’s gazebo, car owners, afficionados and passersby eyed the vintage vehicles at the park.
Abigail Griffiths, 6, led five-year-old Tripp Cohen by the hand while they looked under the hoods of their favorite cars.
Daniel Cohen, Tripp’s father and a summer resident in Mattapoisett, said he came in off his boat and “saw this going on [and] we thought our kids would think it was fun.”
As the night drew on, cars came and went through Shipyard Park.
The next Cruise Night will be held on Friday, Aug. 4.
