MARION — Marion Village was home to a wide variety of festivities including music, costumes, wagon rides, and more for the annual Holiday Stroll on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Crowds gathered at Island Wharf as Santa Claus arrived by boat around 3 p.m., kicking off the holiday celebration.

From there, attendees could join Santa for wagon rides pulled by horses, as the Showstoppers singing group, and Sippican School Band played classic Christmas songs.

Local businesses set up booths along Front Street, and the Marion Art Center provided free chocolate-dipped pretzels.

Many in attendance also dressed in costume. The Grinch, Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, as well as mascots Sparky, of the Marion Fire Department, and Sammy the Seawolf, of Tabor Academy could all be found in the village during the Holiday Stroll.
