MATTAPOISETT — A normal Friday morning storytime at the Free Public Library got a bit of a Halloween twist, as Assistant Director and Head of Children’s Department Chris Matos dressed up as a witch, read Halloween stories, sang a Halloween song, and took participants trick or treating around the library.

After children put together a skeleton on a white board, one child asked “where are your bones?” The nearest adult said, “in your body,” to which the young boy said, “no!”

For the second story, the librarian had children put up and take down the body parts of the monster featured in the book she read.

When Matos asked “how many eyes do we have?” one of the children shouted, “TWO!”
