Planting Island is closed for swimming due to elevated levels of bacteria (enterococci) detected in water samples collected on Monday, June 12.

The next round of water sampling will be done on Monday, June 19, and the decision regarding opening of the beach for swimming will be made on Tuesday, June 20.
