Plymouth County jails of the past to be discussed at Jan. 25 lecture

The Mattapoisett Historical Society will host a lecture by Deputy Liisa Budge-Johnson of the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department titled “Plymouth County Corrections: Then and Now” on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m.

Through photographs and historical facts, Deputy Budge-Johnson will provide a look into the history of Plymouth County jails, including stories of infamous inmates.

There is a suggested donation of $5.

The Mattapoisett Historical Society museum is located at 5 Church St.
