Officers from the Mattapoisett and Marion police departments offered high fives, fist bumps and words of encouragement as they greeted students Friday, April 29 for High Five Friday.
The High Five Friday program is intended to build trust, reduce fear, allow officers to make connections with students, build positive relationships, and gain a greater sense of friendship with students in our community.
Mattapoisett Police greeted youngsters at Old Hammondtown and Center schools while Marion Police made new friends at Sippican School.
