Protect yourself against mosquitoes by attending library talk

ROCHESTER — Ever wondered about the life cycle of a mosquito and how they transmit disease?
Erin Morrill, community liaison for the Plymouth County Mosquito Control Project will be speaking at Plumb Library on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m.
Morrill will discuss the project and the services it provides, facts about mosquitoes and how to use repellents to lower risk.
Blake Dinius, entomologist from the Plymouth Extension, will also be present to talk about another insect: ticks.
Dinius will inform attendees about the bugs, including how to identify and manage bites and proven prevention methods.
Some myths about ticks will also be busted.
