Rochester dog license deadline approaching

Mar 27, 2022

ROCHESTER — Residents are reminded that the period for dog licensing began Jan. 1 and will continue without penalty through the close of business on March 31.

Beginning April 1, all dog licenses issued will be subject to a late charge of $25 in addition to the usual licensing fee.

All licenses submitted through the mail have been processed. Anyone who has not received it back most likely did not include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. In that case, licenses are available for pickup at the Town Clerk’s office during normal business hours.

No dog license may be issued without proof of current rabies vaccination. A copy of the dog’s most recent rabies certificate must be submitted.

Anyone with questions or concerns may email pdawson@townofrochester.com.
