Oct 1, 2012
The exhibit, “History of the Cranberry Industry in Rochester,” will be on display at the Rochester Historical Society Museum at the Old East Rochester Church on Sunday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. through the month of October.
Visitors will find photos, stories, and tools dating back to 1900 when cranberries became part of Rochester’s agricultural scene.
The gift shop will be open featuring Rochester sweatshirts, hats, cranberry labels, note cards, maps and books. The books include “Tales of Old Rochester,” “Images of Rochester,” cookbooks, journals (stories from the past by residents) and a new “History of Eastover Farm and the Sippican Mill.”
