ROCHESTER — The town Historical Society will host an exhibit opening, bake sale and yard sale giveaway on Sept. 28.
The museum’s new exhibit “Rochester’s Notable People — Past and Present” will open at 9 a.m. and be open until 3 p.m. The Historical Society has researched a number of Rochester residents, including Arthur Lionberger, George Church, the Leonards, Raynor Gifford and many more.
To celebrate the opening, the Historical Society will also hold a bake sale, and give away the last items from its August yard sale on a first-come, first-served basis. Weather
permitting, they will be outside; if not, inside the museum.
The museum will be open on weekends from 1 to 3 p.m. beginning Sept. 29 and continuing for every weekend in October.
