Rochester Historical Society to present on Revolutionary War patriots March 20

The Rochester Historical Society will hold a presentation at its monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 20, at 7 p.m. at the East Rochester Church/Museum, 355 County Road.

The presentation, “The Story of Four Black Patriots of Parting Ways,” will be led by Ken Sutcliffe, a retired professor at Massasoit Community College. Sutcliffe is a member of the Massachusetts Society Sons of the American Revolution.

The land of Parting Ways near Plymouth contains the cellar holes of the original settlement and the burial plot of the four patriots. All four fought in the Massachusetts regiments during the Revolutionary War.
