Rochester to host flu shot clinics

ROCHESTER – Starting in October, Rochester will host flu shot clinics. 

The first will be on Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Rochester Memorial Elementary School.

This clinic will have state supplied flu vaccines for children and those without health insurance. The standard dose will also be available for those ages 19-64 with insurance. Those interested may register in advance by calling the Rochester Board of Health at 508-763-5421, extension 1.

Remaining vaccines will be available for walk-ins during the last 45 minutes of the clinic.

The second clinic will be on Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Rochester Senior Center. This clinic will have the high dose vaccine for those 65 and older and the standard dose for adults 19-64. This is an adult-only clinic. Those interested may register in advance by calling the Rochester Board of Health at 508-763-5421, extension 1.

Remaining vaccine will be available for walk-ins during the last 45 minutes of the clinic.

Bring your insurance cards and wear a short-sleeved shirt. Do not come to the clinics if you are not feeling well. If you contact the board of health at 508-763-5421 extension 1, they will reserve a vaccine for you for when you are feeling better.

Additional clinics will be added if needed.
