Rochester Lions and Boy Scouts prepare meals for families in need

Nov 25, 2019

ROCHESTER —  Troop 31 helped members of the Rochester Lions Club pack Thanksgiving meals for tri-town seniors and families in need this holiday season on Sunday, Nov. 24.

Every Thanksgiving, local families in need can count on the Rochester Lions Club to provide them with a full turkey dinner. Each family receives a turkey, fresh vegetables and all the fixings, including rolls and dessert. To recommend a family or senior to be added to the list, contact the Rochester Lions Club.

Troop 31 assists the Lions with packing the meal bags and loading the delivery cars. Lions members, will personally deliver over 75 meals this year to tri-town residents in need.

Junior Friends of the Plumb Memorial Library provided hand-decorated flyers with colorfully thankful messages to complement each meal bag.
