Rochester, Mattapoisett Land Trusts keep properties open, outline guidelines
Land Trusts in Mattapoisett and Rochester have decided to not close their properties, but urge users to follow local, state and federal guidelines on social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic.
Rochester Land Trust organizers noted they had seen an uptick in use in the last weeks.
The land trust said that the trails have been used “even more than usual for this time of year,” and asked residents to follow federal, state, and local guidelines, and to be mindful of social distancing. Land trust organizers also asked that dog owners keep their pets leashed.
Mattapoisett Land Trust said all of its preserves are also open, but asked outdoor enthusiasts to maintain 6 feet of distance from others and to also keep dogs leashed.
“The flowers are blooming at Tub Mill and Dunseith,” organizers noted.
