Rochester Police Department R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) instructors will hold classes this month. R.A.D. is a self defense program for women only. Spots are available for those interested.

Officer Alyson Rego is the department's newest certified instructor. She will join Sgt. Robert Small in teaching these classes geared to women of all ability levels.

The classes will be held at Rochester Memorial School, 16 Pine St. on Aug. 19 and 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Students must attend all three days. The class size is limited to 20 participants.
