Rochester Senior Center addresses meals, services during closure
ROCHESTER — The Rochester Senior Center remains closed to the general public. Most scheduled events that have been canceled will be rescheduled. The Senior Center staff continue to work and are arranging and providing van transportation services, lending medical equipment and delivering meals.
The Center would like residents to note that it is currently out of wheelchairs.
Senior Center volunteers are available to shop for home bound seniors. If seniors provide grocery lists, shoppers will purchase the items and deliver them to their recipients.
Though daily meals are canceled, volunteers are preparing homemade meals at the Center on Tuesdays and Fridays for home delivery. One meal may be spaghetti and meatballs and kale soup. To find out more and to sign up, contact the Rochester Senior Center at 508-763-8723.
