Rochester Senior Center outlines senior food options

Apr 15, 2020

ROCHESTER — The Rochester Senior Center will remain closed until the town declares it is safe to reopen after the coronavirus pandemic.

Seniors in need of food should call the Senior Center at 508-763-8123 and leave a message. Someone from the staff will call back to arrange a volunteer to go shopping.

Volunteers will also go to Sacred Heart Food Pantry to pick up food on seniors’ lists. Seniors can sign up for this service by calling 508-947-1717, extension 2. They will be asked to leave a name, phone number and a good time to call back. Volunteers will call back within a day or so to arrange a list for the next pantry.

Limited medical transportation is available to seniors who call the senior center well in advance of their medical appointments and leave appointment information.
