Rochester shelter receives grant
Rochester non-profit shelter It’s All About the Animals, Inc. is the recipient of a 2016 grant from the Massachusetts “I’m Animal Friendly” license plate program. All funds will go toward the shelter’s low-cost spay and neuter services and the sterilization of feral felines in the Wareham area.
“We are extremely grateful to have the opportunity to help the people of Wareham and stop the reproduction of so many helpless, homeless cats,” Pam Robinson, executive director of It’s All About the Animals, Inc said.
The license plates are a program of the Massachusetts Animal Coalition and funds are dispersed annually to organizations who demonstrate a need for and provide low-cost spay and neuter services.
The coalition is a statewide, non-profit organization comprised of animal professionals and individual volunteers working to decrease the number of homeless, neglected, displaced and abused animals in Massachusetts.
The license plates are available through the Massachusetts RMV and are tax deductible.
