Aug 19, 2016

A pickup truck and a van collided just before 10 a.m. on Friday, sending several people to the hospital with minor injuries.

The exact cause of the crash, which happened at the intersection of Route 6 and Front Street, has not been released.

The driver and only occupant of the truck was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham as were a mother and two children who were in the van. Police transported the husband and driver of the van to the hospital to reunite him with his family, according to Sgt. Richard Nighelli.

The truck apparently rear-ended the van, causing significant damage to the front of the pickup. Both vehicles were towed away.
