MATTAPOISETT — Starting Sept. 11, the main entrance to the police station on Route 6 will be closed due to construction of the town’s new fire station. 

To access the police station, residents are asked to go through the entrance on Church Street instead. The Route 6 entrance will reopen one the fire station is completed.
