Selectmen will seek a Chapter 91 Public Waterfront Act License hearing with the Department of Environmental Protection regarding a proposed pier at a the Starr-Duker residence, 112 Aucoot Road.

Several members of the Aucoot community have expressed concern over the size and placement of the 161-foot pier, saying it will restrict access and will affect a sensitive area.

Resident Brad Hathaway wrote a letter to Selectmen seeking the hearing. A similar hearing took place over a 290-foot pier on Goodspeed Island.
