An Acushnet woman is facing shoplifting charges in Rochester after having been arrested last week for allegedly stealing a book of lottery scratch tickets from Lloyd's Market on Hartley Road.

Dina M. Tripp, 39, was charged with shoplifting more than $100 of merchandise from Lloyd's Market on December 27. Police responded to the scene after the store’s owners realized the lottery tickets had been taken, according to police reports.

Police identified the suspect from a video surveillance recording, which captured the suspect’s arrival to the store, concealment of the lottery tickets, and the suspect’s departure.

Rochester Police Officer Donald Kemmett, Sergeant William Chamberlain, and members of the Acushnet Police Department identified the suspect, according to police reports.

If convicted, Tripp could be fined up to $1,000, be imprisoned for up to two-and-a-half years, or both.
