SLIDESHOW: Old Rochester Farmer's Market
The Old Rochester Farmer’s market, held every Tuesday at the Old Rochester Regional Junior High, has completed its second year.
The 28-week run of fresh and local food was successful, according to market manager Janice-Leary Jones.
“We had a busy season,” Jones said. “It was a lot of fun over here.”
Over the course of the season, anywhere from 14 to 18 vendors would be at the market selling produce, fresh bread, dog treats, seafood or any other homemade goodies.
“This year was pretty consistent with last year’s traffic flow as well,” Jones said. “There was an increase of tourists this summer. Many people stopped in from New York or down the Cape. And we have people come specifically to this market from Bourne or Wareham or Lakeville. This is just a good farmer’s market.”
