Election day is right around the corner and The Mattapoisett Democratic Town Committee wants to help aspiring politicians prepare their campaigns. 

The committee will host a forum at their first public meeting of 2025 to share helpful tips and information on running for public office or being appointed to town boards. Additionally, they will discuss the full list of elected positions and board and committee appointments available in 2025. 

The event will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. in the downstairs public meeting room of the Mattapoisett Library.

The panel features moderation by Nicki Demakis, chair of the committee, with additional input from Nicky Osbourne, committee treasurer, and Frances-Feliz Kearns, Mattapoisett representative to the Old Rochester Regional School Committee. Various local elected officials and appointed officials will also be in attendance to provide insight on running a successful campaign.
