MARION — On Feb. 22 at 7 p.m., the Sippican Historical Society’s Speaker Series will feature “America’s Kitchens,” a presentation by Nancy Carlisle. This virtual event is free and open to the public.
“Last fall, the historical society received a collection of 20th Century cookbooks,” said Archivist Leslie Piper. “We realized how kitchens and cooking changed in just a few decades.”
Nancy Carlisle is co-author of “America’s Kitchens” with Melinda Narardinov, and will talk about the ways kitchens have nourished and provided comfort from colonial days to today.
Carlisle recently retired from Historic New England, where she worked for more than 30 years, serving as curator of collections in her final position.
