Students: Get Ready to Tell Your Story with a Great Resume
Story Location:
7 Barstow Street
Mattapoisett, MA 02739
United States
Beginning on Wednesday, June 17th at 6:30 pm, students will have an opportunity to meet with Mattapoisett Library volunteer Lee Heald to develop their resumes and plans for employment, internships, and college applications.
It's never too early to begin planning how to present yourself to prospective employers and admissions committees. What activities define you? How will your broaden your experience to find things you love to do? How should you organize your school experience, sports, extracurricular and other activities to your best advantage? These informal sessions to be held every Wednesday evening throughout the summer will be a great place to begin.
The library staff will help students create attractive business cards and documents to add to their portfolios. Materials and supplies will be available.
Stop by the Student Lounge and introduce yourself to Ms. Heald. Her experience working with many students over the years will boost the skills and confidence of any student. If you don't know where to begin, this is the place! Junior High and High School students from any school are welcome.
Students are encouraged to call the library staff at 508-758-4171 if Wednesday evening is not convenient and they would like to set up an appointment for another time.
