Sum-more reading

Jun 10, 2025

ROCHESTER—This summer, reading is a novel idea. The annual Summer Reading Program at Plumb Library, on 17 Constitution Way in Rochester, has officially kicked off. This year’s theme is “Level Up at Your Library,” and there is a calendar full of events to keep kids, teens, and adults reading and entertained.

The 2025 program runs from June 11 to Aug. 2. The program’s end will be wrapped up with a celebratory ice cream party at Captain Bonney’s on Aug. 9 (by invitation only).

Online registration opens on June 11 and any events, activities, or programs that require sign-ups, because of space or age restrictions, are now available to join. Stop by the library anytime from June 11 onward to pick up a reading tracker log and activity sheets.

Check the Events Calendar at plumblibrary.com for the full summer schedule. Please do not hesitate to contact the library with any questions!

The June Summer Reading Program Events include: Tuesdays with Teachers, Ms. Rhonda’s Indoor Band Jam, The History of Nintendo (interactive), Yoga for Adults with Ms. Marsha, and Make and Take Essential Oils Workshop for Adults.

All of these events require registration and space is limited. Sign up on the events calendar on the library’s website at www.plumblibrary.com.
