The Buzzards Bay Area Habitat for Humanity, part of an international organization that builds affordable housing for low income families, invites the public to “Taste of Southcoast” – a sunset cruise ­– on Thursday, August 8, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event will raise funds for Habitat’s work in Marion, Mattapoisett, Rochester, Wareham, New Bedford, Acushnet, Fairhaven, and Dartmouth.

Light fare will be served and the Harpoon Harmonizers will perform. A cash bar will be available.

The cruise will leave from Onset Pier in Onset Harbor and will cruise through the Cape Cod Canal. Boarding time is 6:45 p.m.
