Sustainability consultant Mary Jane Sorrentino visiting Mattapoisett library

Mary Jane Sorrentino, a self-employed sustainability consultant, is coming to the Mattapoisett library on Saturday, February 18, to discuss the truth about the climate crisis and the meaningful steps people can take to bring about change.

The discussion takes place at 11 a.m.

Sorrentino, who worked with the Gore Climate Change Project, will be speaking about the causes, how it is affecting New England and coastal areas, and what responses communities can make.

Sorrentino helps non-profits, small businesses, schools and other organizations/ individuals reduce their impact on the environment. Since 2007, she has given more than 30 presentations to schools, libraries, businesses, and organizations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Sorrentino has a master's degree in environmental studies from Antioch University New England and a master's degree in museum studies from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
