Taber Library plans events for all ages

Jun 13, 2022

MARION — The next few weeks should be busy ones at the Elizabeth Taber Library, 8 Spring St.

Lego Club is held at 4 p.m. Thursdays through September. This is a drop-in activity, with Legos provided. Oversized-legos are available for younger children. The club meets outdoors, except in bad weather, when it moves indoors.

Sign up for the library’s summer reading program starting June 21. The summer reading kit will include reading logs, badge, stickers, and a reading buddy. Return reading logs to win prizes and help raise money for Heifer International.

The summer reading program is open to everyone. Pick up reading log bookmarks and return them completed to be entered into a summer prize raffle.

A summer reading kick-off with Carabiner’s portable rock climbing wall and free ice cream from Oxford Creamery’s OxCart will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday June 25.

A cupcake decorating program will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 29.

Undecorated cupcakes will be provided along with decorating tools and edible design elements. This free program is open to all ages.
